Jess Frank is a family law paralegal and Colorado Licensed Legal Paraprofessional with extensive experience helping individuals navigate divorce and other domestic relations matters. Since beginning her paralegal career in 2018, Jess has focused primarily on family law, assisting clients and attorneys through all stages of a case, from financial disclosures and discovery to mediation and hearing preparation.

Before entering the paralegal profession, Jess spent three years as a judicial assistant working directly with a judge in the courtroom. That experience gave her firsthand insight into the court system, courtroom procedures, and the importance of thoughtful preparation and clear presentation.

In 2025, Jess became a Colorado Licensed Legal Paraprofessional. As an LLP, Jess is licensed by the Colorado Supreme Court to provide legal advice and, within her authorized scope of practice, represent clients in certain family law matters. Her combined experience as a judicial assistant, family law paralegal, and Licensed Legal Paraprofessional gives her a unique perspective on both the legal process and the practical challenges clients encounter as they move through it.

Having personally navigated divorce, Jess also understands that family law matters extend far beyond pleadings, deadlines, and court appearances. She appreciates the uncertainty and emotion that can accompany major changes within a family and strives to ensure that clients feel heard, informed, and prepared. Jess approaches her work with clear communication, careful preparation, and practical guidance focused on helping clients understand both the process and their options.

Jess earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Outside of work, Jess enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She is equally happy at home with a good book, swimming, spending time outdoors, or planting flowers.

I cannot give Best Interest Family Law a higher review. Specifically, Samer and Jessica. Jessica went above and beyond. She was very meticulous with everything that needed to be sorted through and organized with a very large amount of information. The efficient way she was able to organize and label things translated into less stress and costs for me. This also led to a much easier presentation in Court. I cannot recommend Mr. Bandek enough. He helped me with my post-divorce, relocation case. Before I hired him I was pro-se (representing myself) and my ex and I had hired a child family investigator (CFI), who turned out to be terrible. My ex lied (a lot) to the CFI and provided no best interest factor evidence. The CFI ate it up and ignored all of my best interest evidence that I had submitted to her. Her report provided no analysis and concluded that my daughter should stay in Colorado with my ex, with very little parenting time with me. I hired Samer Bandek right away, we got an excellent new CFI to do a work product review, interrogatories and more and went to court. The judge granted my motion to relocate and awarded be 80% parenting time. Mr. Bandek also allowed me to do some of the work on my own (i wanted this in order to lower costs, etc.) I can’t recommend him enough!

I have so much to say about this firm, but I’ll keep it as concise as possible. Samer and Adele recently helped me with a post-decree modification of parenting time with a very high conflict ex-husband. I had never used an attorney prior to this because attorneys cost money and I’m on a pretty tight budget as a single parent, but when I factored in what this situation was costing me internally, I knew I needed to figure it out. They were mentioned by someone in a support group who had a great experience and I was so impressed with both of them from start to finish. The amount of knowledge, integrity and tenacity they both carry with them is quite evident. My options throughout the case were always explained thoroughly with potential outcomes for each, so it was like a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure, but with someone holding your hand who actually knows what they’re doing. They made themselves available through every single step. Everything was done efficiently and they didn’t initiate unnecessary work/contact in order to line their pockets like the horror stories you always hear about. You can tell that what they do actually means something to them and their clients matter to them a lot. If you’re reading attorney reviews, it’s probably because you’re going through one of the most stressful, confusing, and frustrating times in your life and you recognize that client feedback carries a lot of weight in deciding who is best to help you in one of the most high stakes situations you’ll ever be in.
